I mean it works

Worked too well. The plant was so heavily laden with tomatoes it fell over and snapped. So, yes, they grow. But maybe put a stake in there before you get started.

Works, but might take a bit longer

This is a fun kit, but for me, rather than take about 2 months for tomatoes to appear as the directions state, it took about 5 months. Also the tomato plant got huge before it started flowering, and I’m using a table lamp to support it! I decided to use both fertilizer spikes before flowers appeared since after 3 months, they hadn’t appeared yet. Shortly after I put in the second spike, I saw flowers. I have some cute little green tomatoes that I’m waiting to ripen and my room smells delightfully of tomato plants!
