Great Gift for Anyone!!!
We had gotten the Pearl Oyster Mushroom kit as a gift and we’re amazed how easy and fun it was! It “pinned” within a week and no joke they really do double in size every day! Sautéed in a little butter and olive oil with a bit of salt and butter made for an awesome side dish. We went through the process again and got an even better “flush”. (We found a better spot for it in our house.)
We then went to your website and bought the combo pack of another Pearl Oyster & the Pink Oyster Mushroom. We gave the Pearl to my Mother-in-Law for Mother’s Day as well as your Lavender growing kit. We kept the Pink which we’re eating tonight and have the block all set up for the 2nd “flush”.
I should have taken a picture of the Pink before I harvested it. It was so heavy with mushrooms I had to support the box!
These kits are great for anyone but I’m thinking it sure would help in introducing kids to vegetables they would normally turn their noses up to. Different perspective for them when they’re the ones misting and seeing such fast results.
I am SO excited
I saved my regular oyster box to put in a raised garden bed. 3 weeks ago I tore open the inner bag and crushed all the miscelium down. In the box I put some wood in the bottom. Mixed coffee grounds and torn up coffee filters with some dried leaves. I mixed this with organic raised bed dirt I bought online. I covered with a nice topping of dried leaves and let it set. This is what I found yesterday. I will try to come back and update.
First time fun and addiction
I bought my variety pack from Amazon and when it arrived I was so ready to start my new growing addiction. I am a summer gardener but I need something in that in between time of seasons that also fits in a 700 foot apartment without stress. I would have given the product 5 stars but I have a few issues. One I know from watching professional videos you should boil or rest your water for 24hrs to get the chlorine fluoride out before using it. Secondly, what I find sadly missing from the packaging and it's just a nitpick, but I would love to see nutritional facts for the mushrooms that the product grows. Unless you Google it, people don't know that oyster mushrooms are actually a good source of protein and yes, it is a nitpick. But you think the marketing department would want to avail the customer of every positive thing about the product.
