Conditions
For a garden graced with the delicate beauty of Sweet Alyssum, choose a sunny location (6+ hours of direct sunlight) with well-drained soil.
Planting
Plant seeds in early spring or fall. Use our grow calendar tool to find specific planting dates for your region! Plant 2–3 seeds per starter pot indoors 4–5 weeks before transplating and lightly pressing them into the soil. Thin to the one strongest plant per pot when ~2" tall, and transition outside (harden) for 7 days before outdoor transplant, spacing them 6–8 inches apart. Keep the soil consistently moist, but avoid overwatering.
Care
Fertilize with a balanced, all-purpose organic fertilizer every 4–6 weeks. Deadheading (removal of old flowers) to encourage continuous flowering.
